This adventure starts in Entebbe and ends in Kigali. It explores two beautiful and endowed counties. The Lush green rolling hills make the scenic beauty breathtaking. From encountering the endangered Mountain Gorilla and the Golden monkey, the visit to the Dian Fossey grave makes you appreciate the works of this primatologist. Her works have enabled generation be able track the Mountain Gorilla.

Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVAL

On arrival at Entebbe you will be met by a representative from Divine African Holidays. You will exchange greetings and afterwards be transferred to your hotel. After checking into your hotel, you will then be briefed about your safari ahead

Day 2TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will then begin the 5-6 hours’ journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Towns of Masaka, Mbarara, & others.
There will be a number of stopovers including at the Uganda Equator along Masaka road where you will be able to stand in both the northern, And southern hemispheres and also experiment how water swirls in different directions when placed in the northern and southern hemispheres, take photos and even buy some of the beautiful souvenirs. After your meals, proceed with the journey and as you approach Bushenyi, you will be welcomed by the coolest air ever experienced in Uganda as well as the lush tea plantations on the hilly slopes of Igara and Ishaka, through the Kalinzu Forest Reserve until Queen Elizabeth National Park. Head straight to lodge, relax as you wait for the evening game drive.

Day 3GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE

Start the day with an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 member Elephants, Buffaloes, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along the and many more species that are residents to this park.
There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland spots as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes at Kasenyi. After lunch we get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George – Lake Edward. Here you see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning, the National Geographical society killing machine the Nile crocodile gaping along the Banks and Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba are a hallmark sign in this Animal home. With your Binoculars along the peninsula you have a magnificent view of Birds, animals like the ever-playing African Elephants

Day 4TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

.Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to towards the south of the park through the great shinning Savannah vegetation and transfer Bwindi Impenetrable national Park via the Ishasha sector which is famous for the tree climbing lions. On your arrival at the park, check in at the lodge, relax in preparation for a strenuous day ahead.

Day 5GORILLA TRACKING

Have an early morning breakfast, and after proceed to the park headquarters to have a briefing about the dos and don’ts about Gorilla trekking. The rangers will then accompany you to the rainforest to start your search for the gentle giants. This walk can sometimes be tough but when you encounter the gentle giants it will be a memorable and a rewarding experience.
Trekkers are always advised to carry their rain coats and boots because the weather there is always unpredictable. There are also some potters who always help with the carrying of the luggage on behalf of the visitors but at a small cost. On sighting the gorillas, the rangers will guide you on how to handle them, especially by giving them a 6 meter distance as you enjoy them play around. It’s always not easy to predict how long gorilla tracking will take and this also depends on the location of some families since some of them are far from the park headquarters.
However, it always takes 2 to 8 hours to come into contact with them and the rangers will always be there to guide you. Trackers are also advisable to be physically fit before going for tracking. After your trek, return to the lodge for your lunch and in the afternoon, you may opt to visit the Batwa community to enjoy some cultural performances before retiring at your lodge.

Day 6TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

Volcanoes National Park is found in the north western part of Rwanda. It covers 160 square kms of rain forest and encompasses eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountain. These include Karisimbi, Bisoke, Mgahinga, Muhabura and Sabinyo.
It a home to the mountain Gorilla and the grave of Dian Fossey a famous primatologist that conserved the Mountain to avoid extinction.

Day 7HIKE TO THE DIAN FOSSEY GRAVE AND TRACK THE GOLDEN MONKEYS

Early morning embark on the hike to the Dian Fossey grave. It takes 2 -3 hours to hike to her grave and her former research camp. Once you get to the grave you get enough time to pay homage and also learn more about her work of conserving the Gorillas. You will track the golden monkeys before leaving the park
Later transfer to Kigali for the overnight.

Day 8CITY TOUR AND DEPARTURE

Depending on your flight time you may have a city tour. This will be a visit to the craft markets, and the Genocide Memorial center.
