Mabamba swamp is a wetland famed for the most sought bird for most bird watchers. It is also rich with lung fish called “Mamba” in the native language and it is also the Shoebill’s favourite food.

The best time to see the Shoebill is early morning before there is so much activity on the wetland. This is also when the shoebill is hunting for lunch fish.
